Mersea Homes has over sixty years of experience in using traditional methods of building homes. We pride ourselves on using local craftsman and are committed to ensuring that your individual home will be built using the same care and attention to detail that we have built our business on.
We are certain that you will enjoy the experience of purchasing and living in your new Mersea Home’s property and why we make the following promise to you in our Customer Charter.
The Mersea Homes Customer Charter is important to us in setting out our commitment to you; clearly stating the procedures and services we will provide. A copy of this Customer Charter is available from our Sales Offices, our Head Office and of course our website www.merseahomes.co.uk
- Mersea Homes will provide you with a copy of our Service Standards which will guide you through the home buying process.
- Mersea Homes employees are trained to understand their responsibilities to you ensuring that the commitments made to you in this charter are followed through.
- Mersea Homes marketing and advertising will be clear at all times.
- Mersea Homes will provide an answer to all your questions before you make the decision to purchase your new home from us.
- Mersea Homes will fully explain your cancellation rights prior to reservation and how we deal with any pre-payments made by you.
- Our Contract of Sale (under English Law) including all terms and conditions will comply with the principles of the Unfair Terms of Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.
- Mersea Homes will give you reliable information on the date of completion of your new home.
- At every stage of the build Mersea Homes promises to provide you with a contact who will be able to answer your questions. We promise to keep you fully informed of any choices available to you and provide you, in writing, of the costs and time scales involved.
- Building sites can be dangerous places and Mersea Homes will inform you about the strict Health and Safety regulations that must be adhered to while you are on site.
- Mersea Homes properties all benefit from a ten year NHBC Warranty. Clear information on the cover this offers will be fully explained to you together with any other warranties and guarantees applicable to your new home.
- On completion of your purchase you will be provided with a Homecare Folder providing information on all aspects of your new home, including the after sales service that is provided through the warranty period.
- Throughout our relationship, we will always aim to be helpful, efficient and professional. If you feel you have not been afforded the level of service to which we are committed please contact our Head of Customer Service.
