Jeremy Scoops Top Award Two Years Running

THE man in charge of a development of major new homes in West Mersea has been chosen as one of the top 100 site managers in the country for the second year running.

Jeremy Cook, Site Manager at Mersea Homes’ Wellhouse Green development, has received an NHBC (National House Building Council) Seal of Excellence Pride in the Job award, repeating his success of last year.

The annual awards aim to encourage and reward site managers who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to achieve the highest quality of workmanship on their respective sites. More than 18,000 sites across the country were eligible for the awards.

Jeremy, 40, from Holton St Mary on the Essex/Suffolk border, joined Mersea Homes in 2004 but has worked in the construction industry for 21 years.

He said: “From a personal point of view, it is obviously very gratifying to be recognised as one of the top 100 site managers in the country for a second year running. However, more importantly, this award is really testimony to the excellent development which is rapidly maturing around us and to the excellent work carried out by the entire team we have here on site at Wellhouse Green.”

Steve Catt, the NHBC’s Regional Director, said: “Pride in the Job is the highest accolade a site manager can achieve. Only those who demonstrate exceptional levels of professionalism in every aspect of their work on site, from their organization of the site to the quality controls they have in place, are considered for an award.

“I would like to congratulate Jeremy not only for his success this year but for showing consistently high standards which have resulted in receiving this award for two years running.”

The current release at Wellhouse Green includes two, three and four-bedroom properties priced from £169,995. Further details can be obtained from the sales centre on 01206 384202.
