MERSEA Homes is hosting a preview weekend on Feb 24/25 at its new development in
Great Horkseley, The Grove, in response to massive interest from visitors to the
site since it opened.
Already half of the first release has been sold or reserved, and Mersea Homes
Managing Director, Stuart Cock, believes this is largely due to the superb
location of the development, the higher than normal number of detached houses
and the general feeling of spaciousness from which the site benefits.
“The Grove is being developed on the site of a former orchard and its rural
setting is proving a real winner with visitors to the site. Although out of
Colchester, it is still within easy reach of the town centre with all its
shopping and leisure facilities and only a short distance from the railway
station,” he said.
It is not just purchasers at The Grove who are set to benefit. Mersea Homes will
be handing over three separate areas of parkland, totalling 15 acres, during the
progression of the development. These areas will be used for a football pitch
and children’s play area and lend the development a very rural, green feel.
Stuart added: “We are a long-established family firm and we see it as part of
our role to contribute to the community in which we develop.”
Features of the stunningly designed three, four and five-bedroom houses at The
Grove are balconies, full-height glazing and dining halls, with an attractive
external mix of brick and weatherboarding. The houses will be complemented by
areas of parkland for use by both residents of The Grove and other villagers.
The show house, due to open on March 24, is to be the five-bedroom version of
the Ashmead – a house type also available as a four-bedroom house – which, like
all the designs at The Grove, is a wonderfully light, spacious family home.
Prices currently start at £279,995. The sales centre is open Friday-Monday,
10am-5pm, telephone 01206 273273.
