Island benefits as Wellhouse Green progresses
MERSEA Homes has released the second phase of Wellhouse Green in West Mersea in
response to the high level of interest being shown in the development with 30
properties sold so far.
The stunning show house epitomises many of the features of the houses on the
development. It has a large dining hall, cloakroom, a superb open plan fitted
kitchen/breakfast room with a glazed living area. The second phase includes a
selection of three and four-bedroom houses priced from £239,995.
It is not only purchasers at Wellhouse Green who are benefiting from the rapidly
maturing development. The 100 new homes being built would have placed an added
strain on the island’s water pressure which was already not the best. Mersea
Homes has made a £200,000 contribution to the new water main currently being
laid by Anglian Water which will increase water pressure to the island’s entire
population. Mersea Homes has also made a £500,000 contribution towards the
building of new classrooms at the local school.
Mersea Homes Managing Director, Stuart Cock, said: “As well as helping with the
water main and school extension, Mersea Homes has just handed over, well ahead
of schedule, the first of two areas of parkland which is to be used for football
and training pitches. We are preparing another area of land and, between the
two, will provide the local population with 16 acres of parkland.
“We are very pleased to be building not only new homes on the island which are
proving to be very popular with visitors from the local area and further afield,
but making significant improvements to the island which will benefit the entire
community.”
The show house and sales centre are open Thursday to Monday, 10am-5pm, telephone
01206 384202.
